If you purchased a new replacement RV awning fabric from us manufactured by Carefree of Colorado, you will notice that there are small slits cut in the edge of the fabric where it surrounds the poly cord.  This is the portion of the awning fabric that slides into the awning roller and awning rail.


These slits are approximately 2" long and occur about every foot or so.   This is not a defect, it is part of Carefree's manufacturing process.


When the fabric is installed, these slits will be hidden inside the roller or rail and will not be susceptible to any fraying or tearing.
